A geophysical doctor and a writer realize that the earth's core is heating to the point of causing instability in the earth's crust.  The writer attempts to get his family to safety in all the mayhem.

Planet 51 (2009 animation/adventure/comedy/family/fantasy)

An astronaut lands on Planet 51 thinking he is the first person on the planet only to later learn that there are families of green people living in homes with manicured lawns and picket fences.  They fear that he is a brain eating alien and attempt to capture him for scientific experiments.

91 minutes - Rated PG for mild sci-fi action and some suggestive humor.

BENEFIT CONCERT - Wonder

This is a special concert sponsored by Springwood Baptist Church to benefit Amanda Petty who suffered a traumatic brain injury in an automobile crash in September.  The country/gospel quartet, Wonder, is from Rockbridge County and has been featured on WDBJ-7 Morning Show.

Admission is by donation.
